New study: Texas tops for real estate investors

HomeVestors, that company behind that “We Buy Ugly Houses” ad campaign, put out a study ranking the top markets for real estate investors at the current moment.  The top three spots all go to Texas cities – Dallas (No. 1), Houston (No. 2) and Fort Worth (No. 3).

Tighter lending conditions in these markets, along with economic troubles, create conditions where buyers are desperate to sell off their properties in these markets, HomeVestors said.

The rest of the top ten? Atlanta (No. 4); San Antonio (No. 5); Denver (No. 6); St. Louis (No. 7); Philadelphia (No. 8); Milwaukee (No. 9); and Richmond (No. 10).

  1. The market is definitely in an interesting place right now – but it is good to see that certain things never change. Texas is always a great place for real estate, no matter what is happening around the rest of the country. It is good to see that notion still hold strong through tough times.
