Trulia Gives Agents Good Info For Global Buyers

In case you missed their article last week, Trulia gave some good information for agents looking to reach international buyers via the Trulia platform. There was some interesting information - according to their survey, international buyers are most often looking for property in these states:

International buyers are also coming from a few prominent locations - primarily the U.K. (16 percent), Canada (15 percent) followed by France, Germany and Italy, all around 5 percent.

Trulia is giving this information out as a way of encouraging agents to use its new(ish) ad network, which lets you target property advertisements very specifically to certain demographics, like “Display this advertisement specifically for European buyers who are searching in Manhattan”or “Display this Chinese ad for those Asians who are searching for homes in San Francisco”.  But assuming Trulia visitors are a fairly representative sample, this is good information in general for agents working in these markets. Cost-per-click ads on Google or Yahoo can also be targeted to specific markets, so if you are running campaigns for your properties or for your services, it’d be an interesting strategy to take this information and start running ads in some of the larger markets abroad.
