I was reading the Future of Real Estate Marketing Blog, which seems to be on vacation at the moment, and caught this post on Facebook as a tool for Agents to market their properties. Joel goes through several advantages to using Facebook for real estate marketing, including being able to keep in touch with past clients, creating groups and so forth.
I think he has the right idea, but I question whether Facebook won’t become much more valuable a year or two from now. The site is still in its nascent period, and users are still young, college students who probably aren’t in need of an Agent’s services as much at the moment. But in a few years, as they grow older and if they continue to use Facebook, I think Joel’s tactics will become even more valuable to Agents.
